Description
James Monroe: Child's Portrait Mug. Among our early presidents, James Monroe is the toughest to find anything for. This 2 3/4" soft paste mug is perhaps the most sought-after Monroe piece. It has two transfers of American eagles beneath arcs of seventeen stars and a bust of our fifth president, identified as "Munroe". The blue decoration coincides with the production of china known as "Historical Blue". Aside from a 1/4" chip on the bottom rim, it is in great shape.Auction Info
