James A. Garfield: Trio of Ceramics. This lot includes: a very fine "inaugural" 7" pitcher by "Wedgwood & Sons. Etruria" marked "Garfield Born 1831 President 1881" (excellent condition save for spider cracks in the base), a 4" memorial mug produced by "W. F. & R. Burslem" in excellent condition with clever acrostic on one side ("Like Albert - Was Garfield A Nation's Pride/ Devoutly They Lived, Beloved They Died.", and a 2 1/2" milk glass shaving mug with raised portraits of Garfield and his wife on either side.Auction Info
