Description

Henry Clay: "American Statesman" Stogie Case. Desirable 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" papier-mâché and leather stogie case. The front has a full color portrait of "Henry Clay. candidad for 1844", along with an eagle, shield, flag and laudatory poem titled "The American Statesman". The only variety of box or case that is specifically campaign. Retains original leather insert separator.

Condition: Very light crazing on both sides, as is normal, with some light scuffing. Quite nice overall.
