Description
George Washington: Painting Featuring the Washington Family. This unsigned painting is after Edward Savage's The Washington Family. A uniformed George Washington is surrounded by his family. Martha sits across the table, with one grandchild at her side and one by her husband, while the liveried servant, William Lee, stands at the far right of the piece. The painting is housed in an ornate gold-colored frame measuring 40.5" x 32.75", with a sight size of 35.5" x 27.75".Condition: Light crackling is present throughout the painting. A small abrasion is near the top right corner. The frame has some wear and loss, with splintering on the right-side edge. The colors of the painting remain gorgeous.
