Description

George Washington: Centennial Cane. This 37" stag-horn handle cane was made for the 1876 Centennial. The handle has an inlaid George Washington copper U. S. Mint medal by Barber. Beneath that are six ribbed turnings. The tapered shaft has carved inscriptions on two sides, reading "1776" and "Long Live The President". The letters have been gilded and there is a metal tip at the bottom.
