Description

Abraham Lincoln: Parian Ware Campaign Statue. 7.5" tall parian ware statue of a youthful, beardless Lincoln. An incised panel on the base reads: "Constitutional Freedom". Though not labeled, the facial features, mole on his face, necktie, shirt and slogan leave no question as to the subject. There is no manufacturer's mark. It may have been made in Bennington, Vermont or England. It is a very rare piece. An example hasn't appeared in the market for over ten years, perhaps closer to twenty. Excellent condition with some small brown marks, likely ink, which may clean off, but they are unimportant and do not detract whatsoever from the wonderful display appeal of this rarity.
