Abraham Lincoln: Glass & Tin Wide Awake Parade Lantern. Four sided lantern that measures 4.5" x 4.5" x 7.25". The glass panels have painted inscriptions on the outside. Brown paper was affixed to the backsides of all four at time of manufacture, although the paper on one panel is all but gone. The inscriptions are: "Old Abe," "Wide Awake," "Lincoln & Hamlin," and "Onward Upward" surrounding a cut-out star. Single candle-holder inside. Bracket for mounting on a pole. The glass panels are fully intact with no cracks. A one-of-a-kind piece of political folk art. No minimum bid. From the J.Doyle Dewitt Collection.
