Description

[Benjamin Harrison]: Eagle Figural Torch. 9" x 10" double-sided brass eagle, in the round, attached to a gimbal bracket, with a burner in each wing. The wooden pole is 36" tall. Sometimes attributed to the Lincoln campaign of 1864 ("War Eagles"). Recent research has established that it was used extensively in the campaign of 1888.

Condition: Great condition, with none of the splits or bends usually encountered.
