Description

Theodore Roosevelt: Ceramic Toby Pitcher by Lenox. 7 1/2" high, considered one of the very best TR three dimensional items, it shows the President in safari dress. As if he weren't instantly recognizable, the belt buckle is marked "T.R.". Perhaps the neatest feature of this mug is the handle, made in the form of an elephant head and trunk. Marked on bottom as being the design of noted illustrator Edward Penfield, with the imprint of "The Toby Potteries New York" and the Lenox Company. Past auction records realizing $2,250.00.
