Description
Stephen A. Douglas: Small Table-top Bronze Statue. 10.75" bronze of the "Little Giant", featuring the famous nemesis of Lincoln full-length, as he might have appeared during the joint debates of 1858. The base is stamped with the name of the artist, Lily Tolpo, and a monogram DHB. Like Douglas himself, it has a lot of heft to it! Very well done with a beautiful bronze patina. Tolpo (b. 1917) was a Chicago-area artist known for her historical figures.Auction Info
