Description
Roosevelt & Garner: Phenomenal Jugate Tire Cover. 27.5" rain-proof tire cover with oblong portraits of the 1932 Democrats, inscribed "Roosevelt and Garner. 'Return Our Country to the People'". Made by the Hinson Manufacturing Company of Waterloo, Iowa. Some typical wear and creasing around the perimeter, but the central portion, most notably the portraits, are remarkably well-preserved. No holes or tears, Silkscreened in red, black and powder blue. The slogan was also used on a 7/8" jugate campaign button issued in 1932 by the St. Louis Button Company. The edges and back side are untreated cotton with an elastic band. We can state, without fear of contradiction, that this is the VERY BEST political tire cover in the hobby!
