Description
Lincoln Bedroom Seth Thomas Mantle Clock Ike's personal valet, Sgt. John Moaney spent twenty-seven years in the service of Eisenhower, staying under his employee until the very end, being at his deathbed in 1969. This Seth Thomas mantle clock was owned and used by Ike during World War II and into his White House years. A hand-engraved silver plaque on the clock reads simply "D.D.E. 1942." An engraved White House card signed by Moaney's widow, also an Eisenhower employee, documents Ike's personally owned and used mantle clock.Auction Info
