Description
Harry S Truman: A Painted Plaster Sculpture. This unusual item consists of a donkey, marked "Unfailing Progress Since 1933" and "Copyright Grimm 1948", standing on a mound around which have been listed many of the accomplishments of the last four Democratic administrations. On the bottom is the original label indicating that it was made and sold by Harry Grimm, Wheeling, West Virginia. We recall seeing only one other example, in the U.I. "Chick" Harris Collection, and that one was missing the donkey's head. Beautiful condition. Height 6.5", length 7.25".Auction Info
