Abraham Lincoln: Oil on Board Portrait by Franklin Courter (1854-1947). 17.5" x 21" oil on Masonite depicting Lincoln in the process of reading. Signed in lower right corner "F. C. Courter." Based on the famous Anthony Berger photograph (O-93) taken February 9, 1864, showing the President and son Tad together, looking through an album. Housed in an old wooden frame, perhaps the original, which shows scattered wear. The portrait is in very good condition.Auction Info
