Description
[Franklin D. Roosevelt]: Presidential China. Three pieces of Lenox china with the Presidential Seal. The lot includes a 10 1/2" dinner plate marked 1830/X-310 in gold on the back side, a 9" breakfast plate marked 2020/X-310 and an 8 1/4" soup plate marked 2024/X-310. All have the Lenox marking. Each piece has blue banding and gold trim. While the pattern does not match any piece of official White House china shown in Klapthor's reference book, it is very similar to the Franklin D. Roosevelt service and likely saw use at non-governmental or private occasions by FDR and Eleanor.Condition: Each of the three pieces is in excellent condition.
