Abraham Lincoln: Large Size George Ayres Reprint of Hesler Photograph. O-92, taken by Alexander Hesler on June 3, 1860. This is a print made from the original negative, done by George Ayres in 1891. It measures 13" x 16" and is framed to an overall size of 19" x 16". Lincoln had just become the Republican candidate for the 1860 election cycle, with this image conveying a sharp and determined persona to the voters. Image has excellent tone and detail. These come is three sizes, with 7" x 9" being the one most commonly seen. This intermediate size is quite rare and seldom offered.

Condition: Not examined out of the frame. Old repair to small chunk of the frame, lower right corner, which apparently broke off at one time. Displays beautifully.
