Description

Two Alexander Gardner Stereoviews, circa 1862. Both measure 6.75" x 3.25". The first, negative number 519 by T.O. Sullivan, shows "Fugitive negroes crossing Rappahannock during Pope's retreat." The second, negative number 511, also by T.O. Sullivan, shows "Graves on the battle field of Cedar Mountain, where a large number of Union soldiers were buried." Areas of waterstaining and foxing on the mounts.
