Description
Theodore Roosevelt: Signed Rough Riders Photograph. There is no mistaking Theodore Roosevelt's iconic full moustache, easily visible in this sharp photograph. He sits on horseback before his men, the 1st USV Cavalry, also on horseback, each man holding his weapon and looking out toward the photographer. Roosevelt's signature remains bold and dark, appearing toward the bottom right corner beneath his placement in the image. The inscription reads, "Theodore Roosevelt/ Col. 1st USV Cavalry." An LOA from PSA/DNA accompanies this photograph, authenticating Roosevelt's signature. The appealing signature and clarity of the photo, combined with the captured moment of Roosevelt sitting proudly before his Rough Riders, makes this piece all the more desirable. Matted and framed, the sight size measures 11.25" x 7.375", with an overall size of 20.5" x 16.5".Condition: The photograph has minor toning. A very small stain is near the center of the right edge above a cavalryman's head. Glass needs to be cleaned and the frame has light wear. Image has not been inspected outside of the frame.
