Nobel Prize Recipient Rabindranath Tagore Photograph Signed "Rabindranath Tagore." Silver gelatin photograph, 3.25" x 5.25", no place, no date. Signed in black ink below the photograph in the margin. Indian writer and poet Rabindranath Tagore was the recipient of the 1913 Nobel Prize for Literature. Tagore, who had early success as a writer in his native Bengal, became known in the West once his poetry was translated. He lectured around the world and became the voice of India's spiritual heritage. With blank postcard on verso.Condition: Silvering to photo. Minor imperfections at the bottom of the image. Light bumping to the corners. Boldly signed.
