Description

Charles Siringo Signed Photograph. 3.25" x 5.25", March 15, 1921. A sepia toned image of Charles Siringo in hat and cloth tie, mounted on a horse. Inscribed on verso: "To Mr. Daniel H. Newhall with compliments of Chas. A. Siringo / Taken in Roswell, N.M. March 15-21 on my pet horse 'Patsy'."

Charles Siringo (1855- 1928), was a Texas cowboy and author, most noted for his memoir, A Texas Cowboy. We have previously sold an unsigned photo of Siringo for $3,346; this is the first signed photo of him we have seen.

Condition: Mounting residue on verso and along lower front edge, affects the photograph minimally. Otherwise, a very fine photograph of Siringo at a later age.
