Description

PRECURSOR TO THE GOODYEAR BLIMP..

Please note: Autographs from the Leonard Finger collection have not been autenticated by Spence/Grad but we believe these autographs to be as stated.

Two 6 x 8" mounted albumens of a hot air balloon with advertising banners. Photos are mounted to each side of a single leaf. One side advertises the "Gaiety and Bijou" theatres, the other side declares "Smoke Genuine T & B". Titled label indicates the photo was taken on Boston Common, Labor Day, 1889. Fun!
