Description
Large Hand Painted Salt Print Photograph. This 8" x 10" salt print depicts an unknown, seated gentleman, holding a slender cane. As was the custom at the time, it was colorized by the application of water colors. It is housed in a maroon leather case with easel attachment stamped "Mayall 224 Regent St. Argyll Place London." It likely dates around 1855-1860 and is in excellent condition.Auction Info
