Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth et al: Carte-de-Visite Album. 5" x 6" embossed leather photo album containing twenty-six CDVs on fifteen leaves. Besides ancestor photos and generic Lincoln images, after engravings, we note examples for: Sojourner Truth (issued 1864 on peach mount with caption "I Sell the Shadow to Support the Substance, Sojourner Truth"), Lucretia Mott, William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglass by J. W. Hurn of Philadelphia (ink identification on image) and Salmon Chase by Hurn. Bumped corners and moderate damage to spine of album.Auction Info
