Tomas Mejia Carte de Visite, circa 1860. 2.5" x 3.5". A three-quarter portrait of the Mexican General in dress uniform, holding his hat at his side. Mejia was a loyal Monarchist and served as Cavalry General for Emperor Maximilian I during the war between Monarchists and Republicans in the late 1860s. Light foxing to image with a tear across top of card.
