Description
Robert E. Lee Cartes de Visite (Two) on Southern mounts. Both measure 2.25" x 4" and feature the beloved Virginian in uniform. One bears the imprint on the reverse of Rockwell & Cowell of Petersburg, Virginia, along with a tax stamp. The other bears no stamp but "Genl. R. Lee / Harris & Bancroft / Richmond, Va / July 4, 1865" is written in ink on the reverse; mounting remnants are also visible. Both images are clean and clear, save for some very slight fading and soiling to one.Auction Info
