Civil War: Group of Three Confederate Brady Cartes de Visite [CDVs]. Includes:Jefferson Davis CDV. 2 3/8" x 4" studio portrait of Jefferson Davis with backstamp for Brady and E. Anthony on the verso. Period pencil annotation reading "Jeff Davis" on the verso. Small chip to the bottom edge of the mount.
Robert E. Lee CDV. 2 3/8" x 3 3/4" studio portrait of Robert E. Lee with backstamp for Brady and E. Anthony on the verso. Corners clipped; small pencil annotation on verso.
Confederate Water Battery CDV. 4" x 2 1/2" field photograph of the Confederate water battery near Yorktown, 1862. With a card affixed to verso of mount reading, "Brady's Album Gallery. No. 403. Confederate Water Battery Rendered untenable by the Federal gun-boats. View taken from Cornwallis' Cave, Yorktown." Small annotations and rubber stamp on verso.
