Description

Cartes de Visite Picturing Native Americans. Three mid-nineteenth century photographs picturing Native Americans, two identified, and one unidentified, measuring 2.5" x 4". Images include: a seated studio portrait of "Letty Bull", a seated ¾ portrait of "Spotted Tail / Chief of Sioux Nation," and a standing portrait of "Indian with war bonnet." All images are identified by inscriptions in ink on bottom recto. Image of Spotted Tail backstamped "Rosebud Art Gallery by A. G. Shaw." All in fine condition with some slight toning and foxing. From the estate collection of E. F. Mueller.
