Carte de Visite Photograph of Kit Carson by E. Anthony, ca. 1860s. Christopher "Kit" Carson was a fur trapper, mountain man, and guide to explorer John C. Fremont, who gained national fame for his service in California during the Mexican War. He also gained notoriety as an Indian fighter. During the Civil War, he commanded the First New Mexico Volunteer Infantry Regiment and was brevetted brigadier general of volunteers.

Carte de Visite of Kit Carson is an engraved photograph print done by E. Anthony, New York from an 1850s image. A very popular photograph. Measures approximately 2.5" x 4".

Condition:
Very good-fine, light contrast right hand side, also light crease lower bottom right.
