Albert Sidney Johnston, Carte de Visite, 2.5" x 4". Johnston, who saw extensive combat during his military career, fighting in the Texas War of Independence, the Mexican-American War, the Utah War, was the highest ranking officer, Union or Confederate, killed during the entire Civil War. The image, with "Gen. A. S. Johnson [sic]" printed at the bottom, is low contrast, but very clean, thus fine.Auction Info
