Abraham Lincoln: Carte de Visite [CDV] by Mathew Brady. Listed in Lincoln in Photographs by Hamilton and Ostendorf as"O-88, the "Penny Profile Pose". Taken by Anthony Berger at Brady's Washington Gallery on February 9, 1864. CDV has a gold-rule border with Brady front and back imprints. This example is a full profile pose of Lincoln, and not one of the vignetted versions that appear on the market with greater frequency.Condition: A wonderful example having some light age to the mount. Albumen has nice detail and contrast.
