DescriptionRobert E. Lee on Traveller Albumen Photograph. This iconic post-war photograph of General Lee astride his beloved horse, Traveller, was originally taken by photographer Michael Miley at Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, in 1867. There appears to be evidence of retouching making this a later copy circa 1870s-1880s. The photograph measures 7" x 4.75" (sight) and is double matted in cream and framed in wood with gold veneer to an overall size of 12.75" x 9.75".
