Abraham Lincoln: "Tousled Hair" Hesler Cabinet Card. A scarce and desirable cabinet card featuring a windswept Lincoln taken by Alexander Hesler in Chicago on February 28, 1857. An oval version of O-2 in Lincoln in Pictures. 4.25" x 6.5". The front imprint from the photographer reads, "Hesler. 70 State Street Chicago." Back mark from "Alex Hesler." Pencil notations to recto and verso. Some edgewear to mount on recto, which does not affect the albumen print. Some minor and expected toning. Overall, in fine condition with an uncommon photographer's imprint. From The Collection of Dr. Blaine Houmes
