Description
Abraham Lincoln: Distinctive and Bold Cabinet Card. O-10, taken by Calvin Jackson in Pittsfield, Illinois on October 1, 1858, during the time of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. C. Jackson of Hannibal, Missouri credit and back mark. A caption on the bottom describes the story behind this photograph. Given the Jackson origin, it no doubt was printed from the original negative (flipped). Great condition. A specially-cut window on the verso allows for viewing the back mark. From the collection of Dr. Michael Krane.Auction Info
