Quarter Plate Ambrotypes and Tintypes. Eight portraits in thermoplastic cases. The ambrotypes include facing portraits of husband & wife, a tinted portrait of a young woman wearing a bonnet, a seated elderly woman, a second seated elderly woman, a girl with mat marked "A. Judson & Co., Newark, N.J." The tintypes include: two examples with facing portraits of husband & wife (cases chipped) and a father & child (partial replacement case).The thermoplastic cases that house the ambrotypes include: K. 29 Sir Roger de Coverly, K. 34 Money Musk, K. 37 The Music Lesson, K. 44 The Memorial (rare) and K. 76 Scroll/Floral. All of these cases are in excellent condition save for K. 76 which has some chipping.Auction Info
