Description
Alaska Gold Mining Photo. A group of four miners are shown (one holds a shovel, another a pan, the balance operate a sluice). It is titled in the negative "The Miner's Cradle. Behold [?] Claim on Eldorado." The mount is stamped "E. A. Sather. Dawson City, Alaska and Tacoma, Wash." The photograph measures 7.5" x 4.5". The mount is 10" x 7". One corner of the mount has broken off and there is a minor lateral tear into the far right of the image, in addition to some scattered emulsion loss. The image is very clear and bright and exhibits strong detail.Auction Info
