Description
Gentleman's Sword Cane with Patriotic Motif.Overall length is 35-inches with a 27 1/2-inch cruciform type blade etched, also lightly engraved with some patriotic type motifs, one almost appears to be a small panoply of arms. Silver-plated (possibly sterling) 1-inch collar present stamped with the number 1, also when twisted to a certain degree, it resembles a sealed envelope. Patriotic bald eagle adorns the handle, all enclosed with a thin bamboo handle and shaft. A very attractive example. Weighs approximately 9 ounces.
Condition: Fine as presented. Minor wear overall, blade good with overall with some pitting spots and etching loses. Wood with a few small cracks to shaft, a moderate stress crack to handle from collar to edge of top. overall. Metal parts with light tarnish and some minor dents.
