Description

Big Horn Longbow and Five Boxes of Arrows addressed to David Mamet from Bill Bagwell Numbered 12-1884. 60-pound pull at 28-inches. Approximately 70-inches in length. Made of forged wood with suede leather grip wrap. Long Bow marked with presentation inscription:"TO: DAVE MAMET/FROM/BILL BAGWELL" Accompanied with five boxes of arrows of various design tips and manufacture, all addressed to David Mamet.
Condition: Excellent. Boxes show signs of storage wear.

David Mamet's Notes: As part of my knife collecting history, I became friendly with the great Bill Bagwell (the second man, after Bill Moran) to make modern Damascus. I hunted with him in East Texas and in Vermont. He made me a gift of two longbows (which bows he shot masterfully, and with which he hunted, when he was not shooting blackpowders). I hope I am not being disrespectful to Bill to pass them along, but, as I mentioned before, the money from the sale is going to Charity. (Bill also got me into blackpowder shooting, notably, with a modern .58 Hawken which I love and which is not in this sale). Arrows to suit.
