Description

Washington County Script [sic]. One page, 8 1/4 11 1/2 inches, Brenham, Texas; no date [circa 1860s]. An uncut sheet containing four unengrossed Washington County notes in the amount of fifty cents, one dollar, two dollars, and three dollars. Each is titled "Washington County Script [sic]." Decorated with vignettes of industry and George Washington at the left edge, and printed counters at the right. "ONE," "TWO," "THREE," and "FIFTY CENTS" overprinted in red, with "TEXAS" printed on the verso in green.

Condition: Minor edgewear, including a few small chips at the top edge. Very minor foxing at the bottom and left edges.
