Description
Sikes Hydrometer in Wooden Case. Complete set of instruments in custom fitted velvet-lined wooden case identified as a "Sike's Hydrometer" (an instrument used to measure the density of liquids). The set includes a thermometer, slide rule, brass weights of different sizes and a brass ball or counterbalance. Manufactured by T. O. Blake, 57 Hatton Garden, London, per the bone inlay on the lid and the paper label affixed to the underside. Last serviced on February 2, 1928.Auction Info
