Description

REACH, WRIGHT & DITSON - AND BABE RUTH. For a piece of the action, we doubt that Babe Ruth ever said anything negative about a commercial ball glove.  We commonly think of him as an endorser of Reach, as it has been long the staple of the American League.  It may be noted, however, that the Babe didn't paint himself in a corner, as his name also appeared on the competitor's goods as well.  But the happy marriage was reaffirmed in the late '20's as Ruth's artistic image provided the cover for this die-cut Reach catalog pamphlet.  It measures about 6" x 3 1/4" and its ten pages itemize the maker's several ball gloves.  This one is in splendid EX/MT condition, though we'd imagine that the pricing is stale-dated.
