Richmond Enquirer (Va.): Battle of the Alamo. April 15, 1836, 4 pgs., 17 1/2" x 23 1/4". Newspaper contains an inside page heading "TEXAS" with breaking news coverage of the Battle of the Alamo and the massacre of its defenders by the Mexican Army. This battle inspired Texans to fight on to victory with the patriotic catch phrase "Remember the Alamo" as their rallying cry.
