Daily National Intelligencer: Bound Volume, 1819. 15 1/4" x 22" bound volume of the Washington, D.C.-based paper, the Daily National Intelligencer. Quarter leather with marbled boards. Comprises approximately 180 issues of the daily newspaper, dated June 1-December 31, 1819, each four pages printed in 6 columns. Previous owners' names in ink at the top right of many issues.

The National Intelligencer (published daily from 1813 to 1867 as the Daily National Intelligencer) was the first newspaper published in the District of Columbia. It served as one of the leading political newspapers of the early Republic and was closely associated with the Jeffersonian and later National Republican factions.

Condition: Some wear and soiling to marbled boards. Contents generally good, with scattered foxing and creasing; minor to moderate edgewear throughout.
