This edition features an article supporting Caleb Strong in the upcoming Massachusetts gubernatorial election. An article on page two denounces acts of "impressments" by the British government, who would capture American ships and force their crew to serve in the British navy, which was a leading cause of the War of 1812. Fire damage to the top edge does not affect the text.
