Description
Texas Maps (2). Includes:S. Augustus Mitchell. Map of The State of Texas, engraved to illustrate Mitchell's School and Family Geography. Philadelphia: S. Augustus Mitchell, 1846. 8 1/2 x 11 inches (sight). Matted and framed to an overall size of 17 1/2 x 20 1/2 inches.
James Monteith. Texas Indian Territory and Public Land. No place: James Monteith, 1885. 8 1/2 x 11 inches (sight). Matted and framed to an overall size of 15 1/2 x 18 inches. Inset maps of "Physical Chart of Principal Products and Principal Support" and "Houston/Galveston."
Condition: Not examined out of frame. Monteith map with crease along bottom left corner; very minor staining at left margin. Mitchell map evenly toned with light foxing throughout.
