Amsterdam: Jan Barend Elwe, [1792]. 23 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches (sight), matted and framed to an overall size of 32 x 28 inches. Hand-colored, relief shown pictorially. Depicts routes into the Caribbean area and the Gulf of Mexico, as well as the Bahamas, Cuba, and other islands of the West Indies. Extends south to the northern coast of South America, lower Mexico, both coasts of Guatemala, and the Florida peninsula.Condition: Not examined out of frame. Lightly toned with a single crease at the center; a few light stains and very minor foxing.
