Description

Union Pacific Railroad Broadside, 1935. Broadside was produced by Union Pacific Railroad Company to promote travel on their Salt Lake route. This was the company's first advertising attempt incorporating the newly built Boulder Dam. This broadside was distributed prior to the completion of the dam. This advertisement represents several Western ideologies: early railroad transportation, providing water for fast growing population, greatest construction project of it's time, and bring the country out of the Great Depression. This is a scarce promotional broadside, involving U.P.R.R. and Boulder Dam. Measures approximately 24" x 36".
