Description
Quarryman's Cloth Broadside State of California, 1919. Printed broadside on cloth, listing the rules of quarrymen while on the job in California, issued at the time when safety had become a greater concern for workers in the state. For instance, "Forbidden to take wine, beer or intoxicating liquor into the quarry or quarry plant," and "Fuse, caps, and powder must not be left about the quarry. All caps or primers or sticks or pieces of dynamite found lying about the quarry must immediately be put in an absolutely safe place and as soon as possible delivered to the foreman or powder man."Condition: Good, has some tears in cloth
