Margaret Thatcher: Personally Owned Porcelain China. Six pieces of personally owned porcelain china belonging to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. All of these pieces were originally obtained from the May 2-8 2019 online auction at Christie's titled "Mrs Thatcher: Part III." Two of the five pieces are in a navy and gold pattern, made in England, dated 1982 by Royal Worcester with printed factory marks on underside: 1 & 2) A large teapot with lid, 6" tall x 12" wide (tip of spout to outside edge of handle) complete with lid. Accompanied by a 10.5" dinner plate. Both with mild rubbing else fine. 3) A third piece is a decorative bone china plate by Coalport, made in England and marked on verso "Fifth in an annual series." It features a scene of partygoers playing a game of "Blind Man's Bluff," made for Christmas 1980. It is in excellent condition. 4, 5 & 6) The last three pieces in the five-piece offering of Margaret Thatcher-owned china is a simply stunning tea set of Austrian-made fine bone china. A wonderful 5" tall x 10" (tip of spout to outside edge of handle) teapot with lid and 4" teacup with 6" saucer made by Augarten Wein in Vienna. A beautiful floral pattern on dark navy with factory marks on underside. Excellent condition.
