Lincoln County, New Mexico: An 1882 Arrest Warrant for Murder of "Bill Johnson (Colored)". Filled out and signed by Sheriff Frank H. Sea of White Oaks in Lincoln County, stating that Johnson is to answer unto "the Territory of New Mexico on a charge of murder". Excellent condition and measuring 8.25" x 6.75", nicely custom framed to 11" x 9.5". A great "period piece" from this infamous New Mexico County, locale of the "Lincoln County Wars."Due to a computer error when this auction was posted on our web site, some clients were inadvertently able to place bids at below the established minimum bids published in the catalog.
