Description
John F. Kennedy Texas Welcome Dinner Program and Speech. Four pages of a bifolium and one sheet, 8 1/2 x 14 inches, Austin, Texas; November 22, 1963. A program for the Texas Welcome Dinner at the Municipal Auditorium originally scheduled for November 22, 1963 in Austin, Texas. These were part of a package sent to ticket holders in the wake of Kennedy's assassination. President Kennedy, Vice President Johnson and Governor Connally were scheduled to attend after leaving Dallas around approximately 2:30 pm. The program is accompanied by a separate bifolium which contains a speech Kennedy was scheduled to deliver that evening, titled "This Country is Moving...and it Must Not Stop."Condition: Program lightly toned with a stray red ink mark at the top edge. A few light stains to the bifolium.
